My dearest friend Dennis is a workaholic. Most of the time, I will only be able to catch up with him during the weekend. Surprisingly, last Monday he was on leave as he needed to attend some personal matter in Embassy of Japan.

Speaking of which, Google Map in my Iphone gave me the wrong direction to Japan Embassy. It has been numerous time that we chatted about Japanese cuisine and the restaurant named ‘Kamimura’ was one of the recommendation.

Upon knowing that Dennis was not working on the usual Monday blues, we finally met up for dinner at Kamimura.

The size of this restaurant is pretty small, but don’t be fooled by the appearance. It serves very good japanese cuisine and the portion is huge!

Upon stepping in to this little shop, we find the interior to be cosy. Somehow you feel the warmth at heart and home feeling is what you eventually get. We chose to dine in a room whereby we will have privacy while snapping away on the food that we ordered.

Noted that there were hangers in the room. Typical feel of a Japanese restaurant where customers would hang their blazer or coat on it while dining.

The salmon steak was awesome. It melted in my mouth with the lovely gravy topped on it.

After main course, we decided to adjourn outside where the main hall is. So that we may continue to snap photos while we reward ourselves with matcha ice-cream.

The main hall looks lively during daytime due to office crowd and normally peaceful during the night.

If you are a Japanese Cuisine lover or simply craving for one, Kamimura will be top of the list. Overall, I rate it 4 out of 5 for the freshness of ingredient, portion & price, and not forgetting the quality & culinary.

The missing point would be the operating hour during the weekend. Take note, try avoiding going there during lunchtime as the queue is long. For reservation, kindly call:
